Dear Trader,
It was late-2003 when I was finally motivated enough to consider putting my trading “process” in an understandable, teachable format – one I could share with my best friend, who asked me if I’d show him how I trade currencies. “No problem; THIS will be easy,” I thought. Just a matter of jotting down what I do five days a week, ten hours at a time… “A piece of cake.”
Oh, really? Hmmm.
Well, I can honestly tell you it wasn’t exactly “a piece of cake”… not even a very small and mostly stale piece.
The truth is, while the way I trade may have made sense to me (at least most of the time), explaining it to someone else in a coherent, logical manner, I quickly discovered, was a different piece of pie.
I won’t bore you with the details and only say what has evolved out of this cake-less exercise, six months after starting, was “The AIME System™” – a sort of a step-by-step, paint-by-numbers approach to profitably trading the Forex.
If I had to guess, I’d say you’ve probably seen or at least heard about most of the indicators I use. So, there’s a good chance I’m not going to blow your mind with some esoteric, whiz bang introduction to a group of magical and mysterious trading tools.
Still, while “everything new is old,” (so they say) including the technical indicators found here, what’s different about AIME is how they’re used together to identify opportunities, pinpoint targets, and secure profits… and to do so confidently.
Cake or no cake, I’m glad I committed the “process” to paper. Doing so clarified and streamlined my trading approach and, among other things, answered questions I didn’t even realize needed answering when I got started – but now know how vitally important they were and are.
The truth is developing and following the AIME system has made trading fun for me. Which is good, because I consider trading a “game” – and games are supposed to be fun, right? If they’re not, then why waste time playing in the first place?
Now, this isn’t to say trading is not or should not be viewed as a business. It should. But by “game,” I mean there are a set of rules with a beginning and an end. Just like football or baseball or golf. Some people grow-up and decide to play these games for a living; others choose the real estate game or chiropractor game or engineer game or even the rock star game. You get the picture.
The point is… it’s all a game. And the game we choose might as well be something we enjoy – at least most of the time.
While the above might sound odd, or unconventional, believe me, it’s the way I’ve lived most of my life and I really don’t know how to go about it any other way… nor do I want to.
On that note, please understand three things:
First , I’ve spent thousands in both time and dollars – literally – to acquire what I share here and through the AIME course. Based on my journey (and it’s been an interesting one) this is what works for me.
Second , if it works for you, then great. Use it. Profit by it. And every time you win, feel free to jump up.
Then down.
Then up, again.
Just make sure you eventually land. And while you’re at it, go ahead and high-five yourself – and your cat and your dog and your ferret, as well.
BUT
If it doesn’t work for you, if it feels like it’s missing “something” or you start losing more than you win – which I hope you discover only through trading a demo account – please cast it aside. Move on. The truth is there are many indicators, systems and strategies out there. And Baskin-Robbins has 31 flavors for a reason. Just the same, I think if you take the time to learn the AIME system you’ll be pleased with the results.
Finally, my goal isn’t to convince you or anyone else of anything. So, just to make sure we’re straight on this, what I present below and share via the course is simply one approach to trading. I just happen to like it – and I like it because it works for me.
Better yet…
After delivering nearly forty (40) workshops since May 2004 and releasing the first AIME video course on CD in February 2005, based on the great testimonials and feedback they’ve generated, I can now add it’s working for many students across the US and beyond, too. This is what matters most. Actually, when you get right down to it…
This is the ONLY thing that matters.
